池田 創一郎
岡山県生まれ。15歳のとき機械式時計に魅了されたことをきっかけに独立時計師を志し、独学で時計の構造や設計、製作について学び始める。
時計製作を実際に形にするため、製造に協力してくれる企業を探す中、広島県福山市の精密金属部品メーカー・キャステムと出会う。高校卒業後、同社にて工作機械の操作や金属加工を一から学び、精密加工の技術を身につける。
現在は京都を拠点に時計の設計・製作を行い機械加工と手仕事、それぞれの特性を生かしながら、既存の時計の枠にとらわれない独自の時計を制作している。
Shigeta KOBAYASHI
Born in Niigata in 1985, after graduating from the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Chuo University in 2008, he worked as an assistant in an advertising photography studio and began working as a freelance photographer.In the wake of coverage of the traditional manufacturing process of soy sauce in Shodoshima (Kagawa prefecture) ,he is interested in manufacturing in the natural flow of time, people who live close to them, and their way of thinking. Since then, the theme is Relationship between people and the things beyond the scope of wisdom.
